The Gamgee 1396M Highly Absorbent Animal Wound Padding Roll is constructed of highly absorbent hospital-quality cotton wool encased in a tubular synthetic non-woven cover. The roll of non-stick wound pads is excellent for use with Robert-Jones bandages with 3M Vetrap Bandaging Tape (sold separately). Use the non-adhesive pads for wounds as a wound dressing, protective padding or for warmth/insulation. Wound dressing pads are indicated for use on horses, dogs and cats.
Insulation: Non-stick wound pads help keep tendons and muscles warm when exercising, eventing and traveling
Wound Dressing Pads: For infected and discharging wounds and protective wound padding
Cushioned padding protection and support for fetlocks, hocks and tendons
Directions for Use: Cut to required size and shape, secure with 3M Vetrap Bandaging Tape (sold separately); to avoid pressure points, do not overlap or fold
At known pressure points, (i.e. point of hock), cut a ""relief"" hole; if used on exudate wound, change frequently and follow standard method of wound care
Non-woven, low adherent cover helps prevent bandage from sticking to wound and helps keep cotton fibers out of the wound site
Minimizes wound disruption and provides a fiber and particle barrier
Highly absorbent to manage discharge
Strong (even when wet) protective padding gets the job done
Autoclavable: can be cut to size and sterilized (steam or EO)
Indicated for use on horses, dogs and cats
