This bit has Jr Cowhorse cheeks with a twisted wire dog bone mouth. A Jr Cowhorse bit is essentially a short sliding gag with curb cheeks. The twisted wire mouth is fairly severe, but the dogbone eliminates the nutcracker action of a single joint. These bits are frequently used on reining horses transitioning from a snaffle to a curb.
